Grief and Loss for Caregivers
This program examines the grief process and its impact on those working with people at the end of life. Interventions to support the patient, family, friends and staff throughout the tasks of grief are explored.
- Define grief and tasks of the grief process
- Examine factors that influence grief and grief reactions
- Describe the health caregiver’s role in supporting the grief process for the patient, family, friends and staff
- Explore the unique situation of health care providers and grief, and examine helpful strategies
Certificates of attendance will be provided for health care professionals who attend the entire program.
In accordance with the Iowa Board of Nursing, this program may be offered for 0.1 CEUs for nurses.
This program is appropriate for continued education. For Iowa licensed health care professionals, it is up to the discretion of the licensee to choose relevant programs.
